What are the fees for your services?
+ Comprehensive Clinical Intake Assessment: $225 (1 hour 30 minutes)
+ Individual Therapy: $175-$200 per session (45-50 minutes)
+ Skills Training Class: $75 per class (1 hour per week). Monthly tuition is paid at start of month.

Do you accept insurance?
We do not accept insurance. If you have out-of-network benefits you may submit our clinical statements to your insurance company for reimbursement according to your plan. Use our HIPPA compliant benefits checker here (located at bottom of our home page) or call your insurance company to determine your out-of-network mental health coverage.

How long is someone in treatment?
Each patient’s course of treatment is unique. At a minimum, you should anticipate being in DBT treatment for a approximately 26 weeks. This time frame allows for the completion of the DBT Skills Training Class curriculum. While some individuals may require more time to resolve treatment issues, our goal is to get people out of therapy and back into a life worth living.

Do clients have to do both individual therapy and skills classes?
Research has proven, based on outcomes based research, that the two component treatment is most effective. The DBT Skills Training Class is a class to learn skills. Individual one-on-one therapy is where clients learn to incorporate the skills learned in class into their lives.

Do you treat individuals with subtance use issues??
Yes. Often, substance use issues are co-occurring to mood disorders such as depression and/or anxiety. DBT has been well researched in the field of substance use and has shown significant efficacy to resolve substance use issues. Members of our treatment team have a wealth of experience working with substance use.

Do you treat individuals with eating disorders?
Yes. It is not uncommon for individuals with high emotion reactivity to develop an eating disorder. Our staff are highly trained in the field of eating disorders treatment and one staff member has experience working in an outpatient eating disorder clinic.

What if I have a crisis in between sessions?
DBT is unique in this regard. All of our individual clinicians are available for crisis phone coaching between sessions, as are the Skills Training Class facilitators. Our goal is to keep our patients safe and to keep them out of the hospital

Is family therapy or couples counseling available?
Yes. In the event that either Family Therapy or Couples Counseling is indicated for a patient’s benefit during treatment, several of our staff are excellent in both areas.

Can I continue to see my current therapist who is not in your practie while I attend DBT Skills Class?
Yes, provided that we meet for a brief 20 minute mini-intake that is free of charge and we have written authorization from you to collaborate with your current therapist.
